AE Labs // Prototype Progress Report

AE Labs has been busy again, so this entry is all about the game dev side of the AEthan Skot universe. I’ve been iterating on small prototypes, testing out mechanics, and trying to figure out what actually feels fun in the first five minutes.

The social broadcast for today is tuned to highlight AE Labs dev work and invite people into that part of the AEthan Skot ecosystem. I want every daily post to feel like a small, self-contained invitation rather than just another piece of promo text.

Most of these prototypes may never become full releases, and that’s okay. Each one teaches me something about pacing, feedback, and how players naturally try to break the systems in front of them. The goal is to learn fast, keep what works, and quietly retire what doesn’t.

All of this connects back to the core idea behind the AEthan Skot brand: one interconnected universe where streams, games, music, and stories are different entry points into the same signal. However you show up — lurking in chat, listening to a track, reading a story, or trying one of the prototypes — you’re part of the world I’m building.

If you’re curious where these prototypes eventually surface, keep an eye on AE Labs updates here: https://aethanskot.netlify.app . I’m always interested in hearing what kinds of systems and stories you wish more indie games would explore.
