Rift Signal — Planar Pulse & New Playlists Incoming

While most of the recent updates have focused on games and systems, this week a lot of energy went back into Rift Signal — specifically the Planar Pulse feed and how music will connect to the wider AEthan Skot projects.

Planar Pulse — More P99-Inspired Tracks on Deck

Planar Pulse is the EverQuest / P99-inspired side of Rift Signal, and the next batch of tracks is now in preparation for upload. The focus right now is on:

  • Building out a small library of grind-safe loops that feel like they belong in long camp sessions and corpse runs.
  • Dialing in the zone moods — haunted houses, treetop cities, snowy runs, and that late-night tunnel energy.
  • Making sure the tracks sit in the background comfortably so you can play or stream with them on without the music fighting the game audio.

The goal for this next push is to get Planar Pulse to a point where it feels like a repeatable station: you tune in and it just works for EverQuest-style grinding, whether you’re on P99 or anything with that same old-school MMO pace.

New Rift Signal Playlists for AEthan Skot Projects

The other piece in motion is building project-based playlists that tie directly into the AEthan Skot brand — games and storylines, not just general synthwave.

Right now the planning board looks like this:

  • A playlist for One More Job and other space-focused projects — tracks built for long hauls, navigation screens, and quiet tension between jumps.
  • A darker, heavier lane for horror and mystery stories — the Ganzfeld / “What Lies Inside” style investigations and slow-burn weirdness.
  • More focused expansions around Planar Pulse itself as the P99 / MMO grind channel.

The idea is simple: if there’s a game, story, or world running under the AEthan Skot banner, it should have a Rift Signal route that matches its vibe — a place where the soundtrack for that universe can live.

What’s Next on the Music Side

  • Finish and upload the next wave of Planar Pulse tracks so the station feels more complete for P99-style sessions.
  • Lock in the first round of project playlists (names, cover art, and track order) for space, horror, and MMO-focused sets.
  • Start syncing blog updates with new uploads, so each major release gets a short breakdown here on the Broadcast Log.

As the games and stories grow, Rift Signal is going to be the audio side of the universe. This update was mostly groundwork, but it sets up the next phase: more uploads for Planar Pulse, and the first proper playlists tied directly to AEthan Skot worlds.
